Serge Pun founded the Serge Pun & Associates (SPA) Group in Hong Kong as a real estate developer. It was one of Asia’s first syndicated developers, acting as a general partner in real estate limited partnerships, and was responsible for projects such as Stewart Terrace on The Peak and Village Gardens in Yau Yat Chuen. In 1991, Serge Pun returned to Yangon, his hometown in Myanmar, to set up SPA (Myanmar) Ltd. Today the Group is an investment holding company pursuing seven diversified spheres of business - Financial Services, Real Estate, Services, Agriculture, Automobiles, Manufacturing & Trading and Retail. Over the past two decades in Myanmar, SPA has shown dynamic growth with an impressive track record. Currently, there are 40 operating companies within the Group, which include the Group's two flagship public companies - First Myanmar Investment Co., Ltd. (FMI), a Myanmar Public Company and Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. (YSHL), a Singapore Exchange Main Board Listed Company.
