According to Fred Hassim, Agency Director of leading agency Slade Property Services, the new flagship development from Asia Myanmar Shining Star Investment Co (AMSS), Kantharyar Centre is attracting strong interest from retail and office tenants alike.

“The development consists of a 5A class office tower, a high-end shopping mall, a serviced apartment tower and the upscale Wyndham Grand 5-Star hotel, overlooking picturesque Kandaw Gyi Lake, Yangon,” Hassim explained.

A number of other commercial tenants including embassies and MNCs are in the final stages of their lease negotiations in a move which AMSS believes is poised to hoist Yangon into competition with neighbouring business mega-hubs such as Bangkok and Singapore, in terms of convenience and prestige.

The launch event was held on 20 June, in partnership with lead agents Slade Property Services who offered guided tours of the imposing development, which commands enviable and unobstructed views of the classically Burmese style Kandawgyi Lake and nearby iconic Shwedagon Pagoda, as well as other landmarks across the Yangon urban cape. 

“The turnout was very encouraging, with a number of guided tours completed with a host of tenants looking to relocate to newer, and better-priced property,” Hassim added.
