Claudio Descalzi - Eni

Energy is my world and my passion. For more than 35 years, I have travelled the globe with Eni, with a dedication to transforming the earth’s natural resources into value and development opportunities. Today, I am truly privileged to lead the company I joined in the early 80s as a graduate in nuclear physics: an unusual profile in a company full of engineers and geologists.
My everyday challenge is to help to create a future where everyone has efficient and sustainable access to energy, which is produced with full respect for the environment we operate in. Eni is a byword for Italian excellence and my 34,000 colleagues and I all deeply believe in using our skills and capacity to innovate, wherever we are in the world.​
