William Boivin is the manager of Society Relations for the Asia-Pacific region at CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals. Responsible for CFA Institute's strategy and business management in over twenty countries within the Asia-Pacific region, William works in partnership with national boards of directors, capital markets regulatory agencies, universities, and major investment management firms to develop country strategic objectives and business plans. Furthermore, William supports local office personnel in the implementation of the national business plans.
With eight years of experience in the association management & consulting industry, almost all in Asia, William has held positions in both trade and professional associations. Prior to joining CFA Institute in Hong Kong, Boivin was based in Singapore and responsible for developing chapter relations for the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the Southeast Asia and Australasia regions. William holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. In addition, he holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, the Certificate in Association Management (CPAM) from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and the CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate. He is an active member of ASAE, PMI, and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
