The British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar and Slade Property Services have announced changes to their respective operations in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Members of Myanmar's business community have pledged to do their part to halt the spread of Covid-19, announcing operational changes in response to the pandemic.
On Monday the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar sent a message to its members outlining a series of measures designed to halt the spread of the virus.
As part of its response BCCM has converted business meetings to online to minimise local travel and exposure; provided staff the option to work from home or the office to retain continuity of operations; postponed training, social events and informational programmes; converted some training programmes to online; and postponed market visits in line with the UK travel advice.
While no date was given for the recommencement of its schedule, the Chamber said it was committed to providing services to its members "wherever we can".

The global spread of the virus also has the country's real estate sector on high alert, with Slade Property Services announcing the closure of its office for the next two weeks.
In a note to clients, SPS Managing Director Hugo Slade said the business would remain operational, adding the right approach would likely result in a "near term delay or a short shock" of the market.
"Our internal policies are comprehensive and ensure that SPS staff have up to date information covering travel, hygiene, attendance at meetings and interaction with clients to minimise risks to all," he said.
"During these challenging times, we know that you will have many questions regarding market conditions and we would be delighted to share our observations with you on a regular basis."
